Midnight Cravings

If you find yourself asking, "Whatever might that thing, be?" Why, it's only the most deliciously decadent truffle brownies via Trader Joe's!

Mere came into my room around 12:30 AM and some innate craving from within our very cores stressed the idea, and the importance of having Trader Joe's truffle brownies at that very moment in time. After seeing the wonder in her eyes, we exchanged Cheshire grins for no more than two seconds before beginning our expedition in what I'd like to call: "The Night of Wild Cravings!"

Were we having seizures? Am I pregnant? Is my period coming? Was it the moon?

I've always wanted to try this infamous brownies-from-a-box mix that Mom and Mere swear by...And if you're going to have a brownie...might as well go all out (butter! milk! eggs! ohmigod, delicious!), I say! It was so fun and liberating to be spontaneous, getting dirty in the kitchen with Mere, being hungry little night owls...it reminded me of yester years and childlike nostalgia...infectious laughter, warm lighting, the aroma of fresh baked brownies, the dunking glasses of milk...it felt great. I'm not so sure my stomach would agree after we split the pan at 1:30 AM...we *tried* to keep it semi-classy by incorporating the Le Pain coffee cups in the mix, but eating fudge-filled gooeyness at the witching hour never seems like pure class. More like ass. Hah!

But in the words of Ernestine Ulmer: "Life is uncertain, eat dessert first!"
