So I committed a small crime. But you're totally going to respond with an, "Oh Jake..." or have a good laugh once you hear it. My life is insane and only I wind up in this outlandish situations. I was locked out of Evan's place tonight and had to C - L - I - M - B the wall, and enter T - H - R - O - U - G - H his window. But in my defense, if I hadn't...I would've been on the streets of Manhattan tonight!

Soho
Donde esta Selena Gomez?
I can totally see how my life could fit in Greenwich Village...full of artists, delicious restaurants...I even thought I saw Kirsten Dunst at one point! But unfortunately, I'm not making the kind of money to reside in this hood. But I'd like to come back here for a visit anyday...
Chinatown
More Exploration
There is SO much to do in this walking city!!! The producers called me the other night and want me to come back after Labor Day for a meeting to talk about a job position! It's so exciting/ I feel so old...I made the most of today and enjoyed the site seeing. I went also to Rockafeller Plaza and it reminded me of the 3rd St. Promonade in Santa Monica, CA.

On the hunt
So the infamous blue NY coffee cup was something I really wanted to find. After visiting six Starbuck's (I know, disgusting...) tonight, with little to no success, I headed home defeated. Apparently they're only seasonal...but as fate would have it, on my very last try at a random deli (of ALL places) I was able to find them.
Urban Exploration
I was going to sleep in today, but it's my first free day in NYC...besides, you can always sleep when you're dead!
Times Square is so massive and sometimes scary!!! But I enjoyed visiting this touristy hotspot. Literally, it got so hot by mid afternoon...I really enjoyed the Public Library and Bryant Lake Park. People just enjoying the afternoon in these quaint little nooks right in the heart of the city.

Sinatra's blessing

The producers told me how impressed they were with my potential, enthusiam, optimism, and growth over the course of one week tonight. It felt really nice to hear that all my hard work was recognized and paid off. I know my feet are feeling the price indefinitely!
But I'll never forget the producers' parting words to me tonight: "If you can make it in this city, you can make it anywhere." Now, I know that it's completely stolen from Frank Sinatra's iconic song, but it really meant a lot to me. It's like I'm finding a little place in this world, and making a name for myself, and I'm pretty proud at this moment.
Day 5 of Work
Oh my goodness...tonight was my last day of work :(
It felt like summer camp - snapping photos with everyone, exchanging numbers and bear hugs...it's all been really amazing and bittersweet. I seriously don't even think I can comprehend how new and different everything was this past week...but I'm so happy that I was given this opportunity. It is an experience I will never forget, and hands down one of the coolest things I'll ever participate in. I mean, I worked on a new episode of Ugly Betty Season 3! Not many people can say...
Flavia
As I reflect on the last five days, I contemplated what I would miss the most about working on set...and it dawned on me almost immediately: The flavia machine. For those of you who aren't familiar (don't worry, I wasn't until last Monday when Lindsay Lohan asked me how to use it!) This is what they are. It's basically the most ingenious invention for the coffee or tea connoisseur...with over a range of at least 30 flavors, you stick the little packet in a pull out shelf and press a button, and ta dah! Instant satisfaction found in the perfect size cup.

La Casa de Suarez
"This is...flea market chic."
I wanted to include pictures of the Suarez house too...it was so warm and cozy. Just like how I feel when I'm here at work. I'm starting to get comfortable and making lots of connections. I'm so happy every time I pull into the studio lot and realize that this is my job and I'm actually pursuing my dreams. I don't want it to go away!
MODE Magazine
"Oh it's about to get nerd nasty!"
Today we shot on the MODE Magazine set!!! It is SO cool. It was so surreal walking through "the tube" and all the offices. I can see how easily it is to get into character in a studio like this...the neon colors, the swanky clothes, modern architecture...le sigh, I wish MODE Magazine was real...
